LEAP Level Three scheme

Level Three LEAP is a bit different. We know how busy you are with your final year, so  you get to curate your own programme, depending on your own interests and ambitions. Pebblepad will be used to help you note your reflections throughout the year.

At the beginning of term all LEAP finalists will answer some short questions in PebblePad about how you are feeling as you are about to start your final, and possibly most important, year.

You get to chose between an academic or a career pathway (don't worry if you haven't decided between the two, we've got you!).
You will also attend (at least) one academic research seminar - you can choose the topic! This will give them an insight in to the incredible depth and breadth of research being carried out at the University of Leeds and beyond. Examples of Research seminars will be posted on the channel in Teams.

Want to pursue postgraduate study? You will attend a one-hour mentoring session with a PhD student, who can offer advice and guidance about what it actually involves if you want to continue their studies. This can be in person, or via Teams - you decide what will work best for you.
To arrange this, email Tess with your research interests, and she will match you up with someone.

Rather leave academia? You will attend a one-to-one session with a careers consultant, which you can arrange via MyCareer (appointments are normally released on week days, after 12:00pm)

At the end of the year you will write a short reflection or make a short film about your experience of taking part in LEAP.
