Natalia IzquierdoEnhanced Audience Experience through Interactivity in Performance

Interactive performances break the traditional boundary between audience and performer. This allows them to interact with each other, for instance, through a conversation, using headphones to deliver an audio recording, or a phone to send text messages.

In these performances the audience is actively engaged as they are given the power to change the outcome. In doing so, they form a strong, personal connection with the content, and other elements such as their environment. The unique background of each audience member plays a significant role in their experience and how they behave towards the content, during and after the performance.
