It is common knowledge that the food we consume and feed our bodies affects our health, mood, ability and wellbeing. To ensure that we have healthy bodies, we take precautions on what we eat, exercise and even take supplements to get the necessary nutrients that we need. With the advancement of technology, our use of phones and computers present us with an unlimited source of information that we feed our brains. We may be the most intelligent, well-connected and informed generation to date, but is the abundance of news, gifs and cat videos that we consume healthy for our minds? Using academic sources, popular knowledge and my own journey of managing my digital diet, I will be exploring the idea that our virtual consumption need to be regulated as cautiously as our physical ones.
