As part of the Embracing Linguistic Diversity satellite of Language@Leeds, we are rolling out a survey to all students across the University to better understand their experience of linguistic and accent bias on campus. The findings will help us create initiatives to reduce language-based disadvantages and discrimination at the University of Leeds. I am looking for up to two Linguistics students to assist with participant recruitment. We are currently collecting survey data.

Task 1: To help find ways of disseminating information about the survey as widely as possible (October-December).

Task 2 (optional, January-March): It may be possible for the student to get involved in helping to analyse the responses to the survey guided by the Project Leader and a Research Assistant. Full training would be provided.
