The Social History of Afro Hair

My focus will be on exploring the social history of black British women's hair. Tackling it through my own experiences, as well as my friends and families through art and interviews. Through centering these experiences in the context of history I hope to document a vital part of black British culture which is often ignored. As well as celebrate the rich culture and history that is implicit when talking about black hair.
