How To Apply

Current research projects are advertised via the Projects page. If a project appeals to you, please read the Overview and Frequently Asked Questions pages to ensure that you fully understand what participating in a LingRES project entails. If you have questions specific to the research project you are interested in, you should contact the member of staff who leads that project.

To apply, download the application form, complete it and email it to the member of staff who leads the project.

The member of staff who leads the project will let you know the outcome of your application. When the number of applications exceeds the number of places available, the member of staff will need to make a selection. If you have been selected, you will be invited for a meeting with the project leader in which a contract will be agreed. The terms vary dependent on the specific research project, but you can view an example contract here.

After the initial meeting, all correspondence will be between you and the project leader. You are welcome to contact the Coordinator of the LingRES scheme if you have any concerns about your participation. The current LingRES Coordinator is Dr Leendert Plug.
