Isabelle BlodornLearning a second language as an  adult and the factors affecting the process

Commonly, it has been agreed that learning a second language as an adult will be less successful than learning as a child. However, recent research has yielded evidence agains this assumption, and my research aims to further the support for the notion that learning as an adult does not mean failure. I will focus my research on the acquisition of an accent, as this is commonly labelled as the most difficult aspect of mastering a language as an adult. I intend on measuring multiple factors known to affect accent and their impact on second language learners.
